A lovely large space (although you have to watch noise levels from the tellies towards the back) with fantastic staff, and a really great offering of food at very reasonable prices.

The sister to the excellent Latinoamerica next door, a brunch, wine and tapas bar. Really nicely fitted out cafe, and great empanadas, and lethally sweet dulce de leche cheesecake!

Cool little place right in North Laine, vegetarian canteen – you choose a main, then two sides and two toppings. I had chickpea and leek fritters with chilis, with lime and thyme wedges and garlic cabbage, with aioli and hot sauce. Really good, real food.

Vegan chippy, and I think pretty good. It’s bigger and nicer inside than it looks, and the food is presented beautifully. I wasn’t a massive fan of the smoked haddock, though I did like the texture, but I liked the jumbo lemon prawns. I’ll be back to try more.

I’ve seen this chain in London but never had it; turns out you get huge servings (just get a medium, seriously) of really tasty pasta, that delivers well.

Great Persian takeaway – very generous portions of tasty meat, rice, halloumi etc, and a nice varied menu.

Tricky one, because I think vegan fried stuff doesn’t deliver that well. Had burgers (chick’n and Beyond), popcorn chick’n, and marmite and garlic fries. I think all up pretty good; you need to make sure you have lots of sauce for the popcorn, but the main reason for points off is the packaging is terrible at travelling.

Vegan pizza; expensive, as is to be expected, but really very good. Doughballs filled with cheese a standout, but a delicious, imaginative menu of pizza.

Maybe better in person, but bacon bap with pants chewy bread, and undercooked chips. Halloumi just ok.
