Pub tending to a restaurant in Seven Dials. Relaxed feeling, lots of nice tables. But wow, food. Ham hock, burger, hake, squid, all amazing for really not very much money. Nice place for just a pint too.

Classic “caff” type place with huge menu of sandwiches, breakfasts, burgers etc. Basic but pleasant inside and a nice location for sitting outside in the sun; good food at good prices.

Just a fantastic ice cream place. Really nice guy behind the counter, all home made ice cream with super great flavours. Could really taste the peanuts in the peanut butter and the chocolate: wow. Highly recommended for a sunny day.

Popped in here during Pride and it is HUGE! Really relaxed vibe for a pint or a pizza – didn’t have the latter but they looked and smelled amazing so will be back for one for sure. Great music and funky interior, spinning all vinyl, all the time.

Debated whether to include this but it’s a part of our Brighton experience so I think it counts. Semi-rural restaurant with a lovely beer garden and a short drive from Brighton – we were drinking outside in the sun at half five easy. And the restaurant is small and quite charming, that great sort of place where everyone is lovely but the food is storming. Amazing rib croquettes with chipotle mayo, potato and truffle soup, crispy lamb shoulder, chicken pie or beef fillet with duck fat chips – all amazing and actually very well priced.

Pizza delivery outfit that has really committed to an amusing “ME” based menu structure. Eg “Where’sMEspecks” and personal favourite “ButterMEnuts”. Worth a look for this alone. Pizza-wise it was pretty ok. Two tasty pizzas, delivered in an hour. Thought the MeatME was really pretty stingy with the meat, which prevents it being awesome.

We had delivery which was super fast, and very good value. Tasty too, with the one proviso that everything was spicier than expected – even green curry!

Classic excellent Chinese restaurant – not much to speak of re decor, but comfortable, with an enormous tasty menu at bargain prices. Peking duck especially good.

Food concession in the pub, with a promising menu of proper BBQ classics. I tried to go – twice – but you seem to have to win the lottery to actually get any of it. First time they were not running for unspecified reasons, and today none of the proper BBQ plates were on due to staff issues. Sandwiches were on but honestly the Pitmaster sandwich with brisket and sausage was just average. Cheeseburger pretty ok though. Overall, not worth the trouble really.
