Caffee Bar Italia

This cafe is in fact a little Italian with Italian spins on some cafe standards (like mozzarella on a vegetarian breakfast!) and panchetta with scrambled eggs. Excellently there is a mini-soft play/toddler play area upstairs so great if you have one of those. Points off as really rather cold up there and pretty much everyone I saw had their order delivered wrong.

Verdict: Ok if no kids, Awesome with kids

Tutti Frutti

A pretty standard caff type place, but decent seating, clean and with friendly staff. Some very cheap options (eg egg on toast for £2), ok but not the best.

Verdict: Ok

Pizza Knight

Classic pizza/chicken takeaway. Prompt, and the cheesy garlic bread was everything I hoped for (and the reason I made my order), but all the fired stuff was really pants. The chicken wings and nuggets tasted really weird like they were using really old oil or something.

Verdict: Don’t go

Lucky Khao

The Red Roaster cafe turns into Northern Thai barbecue at night, and it’s a great place for a restaurant – spacious, high ceilings, things you don’t typically get in a Brighton cafe! Lucky Khao does small (ish) plate sharing and it was really top stuff. From spicy papaya salad to amazing goat ribs to curries, great thing is a lot of variety for one restaurant (lots of spiciness!). Charcoal stuff the best. Great service and very reasonably priced!

Verdict: Awesome
